Born and raised in Huntington Park, California, Marlene's interest in a legal career began at a young age. Growing up in an immigrant household and community, she witnessed firsthand the critical need for legal services that are not only accessible, but also culturally responsive. That personal experience continues to drive her mission as an attorney. She strives to be a reliable and understanding advocate for those who might otherwise be left without a voice.

Before joining The Dominguez Firm, Marlene gained extensive experience in various areas of law, always with a focus on supporting underserved sectors of society. She has worked as a self-help attorney at the Los Angeles Superior Court, a special education attorney, and a Clients’ Rights Advocate for the Office of Clients’ Rights Advocacy. In these roles, she educated self-represented litigants on navigating court proceedings, empowered individuals through self-advocacy, and represented families in obtaining essential services such as educational and public benefits. In short, Marlene resolved hundreds of complex cases with meaningful, life-changing results.
Marlene speaks Spanish fluently and is conversational in Italian, allowing her to effectively serve clients from diverse backgrounds. Outside of her legal work, she enjoys reading, nature walks, and traveling.
