Intake Sign Up Investigator

The Sign Up / Investigator will work directly in the field for in-person interviews and investigations. The Sign Up / Investigator is an integral part of generating new business for the Firm and must have the ability to recognize qualified Personal Injury, Employment Law, and Workers’ Compensation cases. In addition to working with other departments within the Firm, the Sign Up / Investigator may be tasked with other special projects as needed and may require direction and guidance by the Intake Manager and/or Management.

 Primary duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Answering inbound phone calls and place outbound calls with stellar customer service, professionalism, enthusiasm and compassion;
  • Performing unbiased screening for potential clients;
  • Scheduling and traveling to interview appointments with potential clients to complete retainer packages and gather facts regarding the incident;
  • Obtaining client signatures on Retainer Agreements and other pertinent documents;
  • Obtaining evidence from client at time of initial in-person interview, including photos of injuries, and relevant documents;
  • Canvassing and investigating the scene of the incident and injuries, including taking photos, and obtaining witness information;
  • Assisting in obtaining traffic collision reports as assigned;
  • Assisting in locating missing/unreachable clients as assigned;
  • Assisting in delivering settlement checks to client as assigned;
  • Performing other duties as assigned by Management and/or Attorneys.

  • This position requires physical activity including, but not limited to sitting, bending, stooping, repetitive motion, and lifting of up to 20 pounds (lbs.).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in a law firm;
  • Knowledge of Personal Injury, Employment Law and/or Workers’ Compensation strongly preferred;
  • Professional appearance and “get it done” attitude;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
  • Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish, is required.
  • Must have a valid unrestricted CA Driver’s License and clean driving record;
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle;
  • May be required to work flexible hours;
