Meet the Winner of The Dominguez Firm’s Spring 2025 Collegiate Scholarship: Jamie Julien
The Dominguez Firm proudly announces that Jamie Jamien is our Spring 2025 Collegiate Scholar. She is a Licensed Practical Nurse, currently pursuing her Registered Nurse degree at Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences. For over eight years, Jamie has been working as an LPN at Fort Irwin National Training Center, a major U.S. military installation located in the Mojave Desert of California.
Her dedication to her profession is evident as she expertly juggles family responsibilities, work commitments, and academic pursuits, all while serving her community. At Fort Irwin, Jamie manages the crucial Immunizations and Allergy Immunotherapy Department which provides essential healthcare services to over 11,000 active-duty personnel, dependents, civilians, and retirees. Her work is of paramount importance; ensuring the medical readiness and health of those who serve our country and their families.
Jamie’s long-term goal is to become a Nurse Practitioner, with a special focus on pediatric care. “I cried and was shaking! Thank you for selecting me! I am working an extra part-time job to help pay tuition. This will allow me to do something extra for my children and apply to my clinical travel expenses as well.”
We were again grateful for the overwhelming response to our scholarship program this semester. Knowing that you share our vision of making higher education accessible for all students looking to improve their lives and communities means so much to us.
