Congratulations to Karen Hinojosa, The Dominguez Firm’s Fall 2025 Collegiate Scholarship Winner
Karen Hinojosa, a student at the University of Texas at Austin, has been selected as this semester’s Collegiate Scholar by The Dominguez Firm. We congratulate her on this accomplishment and know she will continue her work to make a difference.
From an early age, Karen faced significant personal hardships. She overcame these challenges with resilience and determination, using her experiences to guide her path of leadership, service, and advocacy. We were particularly captivated by her essay. It captured the grace with which she has faced adversity and the empathy that guides her mission.
While at Laredo College, Karen excelled academically and was actively involved in community service. At her new school, she is also focused on doing the same. As Karen shared, “I am honored to receive this scholarship. As a Government major at The University of Texas at Austin, this support encourages me to keep driving change and to pursue opportunities that will allow me to make a lasting impact in my community and beyond.”
We were deeply moved by the overwhelming response from all who applied for our scholarships. Applicants from across the country, representing both large cities and small towns, shared their individual and professional goals with us. He created the Collegiate and Legal Scholarships to help deserving students pursue higher education.
